Dimabayao, who himself was a recipient of With High Honors academic distinction when he graduated four years ago, finished his Bachelor of Science in Geology at the University of the Philippines – Diliman, Quezon City in April 2010.

Dimabayao tied with another examinee from the same university for the first spot, making them lead _____ other passers who took the examination.

Dimabayao and batchmate Jaymie Llanera were feature and news editors, respectively, of The Bicol Scholar during their time, and were the first delegates of the PSHS-BRC in the National Schools Press Conference in Kalibo, Aklan in February 2006.
