Senior student pockets International Earth Science Olympiad bronze medal Featured

PATRICK LEO REBATO, FOURTH YEAR STUDENT OF THE PHILIPPINE SCIENCE HIGH School – Bicol Region Campus won a bronze medal at the close of the International Earth Science Olympiad held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from September 18 to 25, 2010.

Rebato qualified to join in the world finals after hurdling the Philippine national eliminations in August this year, in which three Philippine representatives were named with Rebato being one of them. The two other students were from St. Stephen’s Academy in Manila and Catanduanes National High School.

Physics teacher and IV-Electron class adviser Glaiza Reobilo trained Rebato for the eight-day Olympiad.

Rebatos bronze medal finish matches that of Batch 2010 alumnus Gio Elegado, who competed in Taipei, Taiwan in September 2009.
