Angela Claire R. Panes of I-Diamond won a bronze medal during the 8th International Math and Science Olympiad (IMSO) held on September 2-6, 2011 in Naga City.
The said competition, which was participated in by countries from Asia, Europe and South Africa, was divided into three rounds.
The first round required the contestants a short answer; 2nd round, essay; and 3rd round, exploration.
Another freshman, Mary Joyce Funtanar participated in the mentioned contest.
