MANAGO WINS STAT ESSAY WRITING CONTEST
The winning piece ‘’Of Sound Mind and Stats’’ by Carlo Angelo R. Mañago stood out in Mulat 2021: A Nationwide ESTADISTIKA Essay Writing and Vlog Making Contest with the theme “SustainAbility: Highlighting the Role of Environment Statistics in Building our Country’s Future.”
Mañago’s work was adjudged overall 2nd Runner Up in the high school division of the competition that was participated by students nationwide.
The 15th ESTADISTIKA, annually organized by the UPLB Statistical Society (UPLB STATS), launched this year an essay and vlog making contest that aims to introduce the proper application of statistics in various disciplines and to promote awareness among the youth.
According to the United Nations Statistics Division, Environment Statistics measures human activities and natural events that affect the environment. One of its objectives is to provide quality statistical information to improve policy and decision making by different players.
