3 Pisay junior studs get gold in PRO Featured

Pisay is finally back to WRO.

Making it back to the limelight, three juniors of the Philippine Science High School – Bicol Region Campus (PSHS-BRC) topped the “Robo-soccer” category during the Philippine Robotics Olympiad held on September 5-7, 2011 at SM North EDSA, Quezon City.

The third year students were: Justin Daniel C. Belmonte and Rasty M. Rastrullo, III-Platinum, and Iran Brotamonte of III-Beryllium.

Mentioned winners received medals and certificates after defeating four other teams all over the country.

Robo-soccer is open to interested teams with members of ages 11-18 years old.


Said students will compete in the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) on November 2011 at Abu Dhabi, UAE.


“Thank you to everyone for our success, to our coach, our classmates in Robotics, and of course to God,” Justin Belmonte quipped.


Other students who joined and were qualified as finalists were: Pauleen Bea M. Labastida, Xena Mikaela Cledera,and Arexius Vico N. Balde, for one team which ranked 5th ; and John Angelo C. Manaog, Dennis Roy T. Ojeda and Robert Christian D. Labalan, for another team that ranked 7th in the “Stair Climber” competition.


Said undertaking was in line with the 10th Philippine Robotics Olympiad (PRO).
