SALAZAR IS A PMO FINALIST, CLINCHES SPECIAL AWARD

PSHS-BRC’s top caliber student, Adrian Richard Salazar, competed with 29 other students in the national finals of the 23rd Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO) on March 19 to 20, 2021 via Zoom.
The 30 PMO National Finalists, those who garnered the highest scores in the qualifying stage, solved a total of eight (8) problems for two contest days.
Prior to the national finals, Salazar’s stellar performance in the qualifying stage made him one of three top contestants from Luzon (excluding NCR) and the top contestant in the Bicol Region.
The 23rd PMO is a project of the Mathematical Society of the Philippines and Science Education Institute - Department of Science and Technology.
The feat of Salazar would have not been possible without the guidance of his coach, Dr. Arnel Bermejo.
