Pisay-BRC scholars bag awards in China
The team composed of Daryl O. Rivera, Chrysler R. Añonuevo, Archie F. Junio, and Juan Raphael C. Abcede, together with their coach Dr. Fely B. Buera, flew to Guangxi, China to participate in the 7th Belt and Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop on November 5-11, 2023.
The all-male Pisay-BRC group went home with the Best Maker Award and Best Teamwork Award for demonstrating an excellent performance in the said event held at Guangxi University in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
According to their website, the Belt and Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop was launched in 2017 to strengthen cross-cultural exchange, promote international understanding, and inspire innovation in the young generation. It also aimed at bringing together scientists and science teachers to promote mutual learning and fulfill their responsibilities in science education careers.
