MATH-MYTHIC STUDENTS SWEEP PHIMO HEAT ROUND
 
The PSHS-BRC mythic team sizzles in sweeping awards in the Philippine International Mathematics Olympiad (PhIMO) Heat Round on April 11, 2021.
The Salazar brothers, Jose Carlo (Junior Secondary) and Adrian Richard (Senior Secondary) led the haul by nabbing the Gold Award (Highest Distinction).
The second leading representative in the Senior Secondary category is John Angelo O. Oringo, taking home a Silver Award. While the impressive performance of Ralph Richard B. Yanto and Jose Enrique E. Ramirez earned them both a Bronze Award.
Math wizards who also showed stellar performance include Gian Austin S. Janer, Silver Award (Junior Secondary); Claire Amythess C. Morana, Bronze Award (Junior Secondary); and Eric Fabian Thirdy A. Mendez, Silver Award (Secondary 3).
According to their website, the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PhIMO) is the newest and most sophisticated international mathematics competition among Kindergarten to Grade 12 students. It is designed to honor the best learners in the world in mathematical problem-solving through friendly competition and foster cultural exchange among countries that participate therein.
